A lot of people go for calls, broadband and television in the same deal, and you can certainly save money by doing this, but both companies will offer this, so there is no difference here in terms of what both companies can provide. Obviously there tends to be a price difference, but it is hard to categorically say which company can offer a cheaper deal because there are so many different deals out there.

A lot of people would say at the moment that Sky have the edge thanks to the fact that they are rolling out 3D TV channels throughout their range Although not that many people have the televisions that are able to show 3D TV at the moment, they are becoming more and more common place, and Sky might be glad that they are ahead in a couple of years time. that being said, BT offer their Vision service through a broadband connection, and as broadband speeds are getting faster and faster, this may soon be a very appealing way to go. There's no need to have a dish on the side of your house, and a fibre optic connection would certainly provide you with excellent viewing quality.

At the moment, Sky's Sky Plus service is probably the best bet for most people because you can use in on any television and it is still very affordable. BT Vision's standard package is not far behind, and it is interesting to see someone giving Sky a real run for their money. Only time will tell which company will come out on top. Frankly, we should all be glad that there is now healthy competition out there is the shape of BT, and Virgin Media also have a great television service too so there is plenty of choice out there for everyone.
